With the Fotonka product, customers can efficiently manage their energy consumption and even profit from selling surplus electricity to the grid when the spot price is high.
In practice, it works by the household consuming energy when the energy price is low and selling it when the price climbs high.
The average electricity price on the spot market is lower than with fixed tariffs or indefinite-term tariffs. In 2024, the average spot price was 2,222 CZK per MWh without VAT, which is several hundred crowns more advantageous than the cheapest fixed tariffs.
Households will thus generate savings in the tens of percent.
